What does Overlap mean?
Overlap shows how much these two Funds invest in the same companies.
For each holding that appears in both Funds, we take the smaller percentage and add them up. This tells you how much of your investment would be "doubled up" if you owned both.
Example: If Apple is 7% of ETF A and 5% of ETF B, that's 5% overlap from Apple alone.
Why "Partial data"?
We don't have the complete list of holdings for one or both Funds, so the actual overlap might be slightly different.
This usually happens with Funds/ETFs that hold many small positions. The main holdings are included, so the overlap percentage is still a good estimate.
Also note: Some fund providers use synthetic replication for part (or all) of an ETF/Fund. Instead of holding every underlying security directly, the fund may gain exposure through derivatives (for example, a swap) with a counterparty.
In those cases, the published holdings list can look different from the fund's true economic exposure, and overlap calculations based on disclosed holdings may understate or misstate overlap.
